Blueberry Lime Pick-me-up Smoothie

This refreshing smoothie makes a great breakfast, lunch or snack.  With 89% of your daily vitamin C, it's also great for staying healthy in the cold and flu season.  Note also that 1 serving offers 25% of your dietary fiber as well!

Ingredients: 
  • 1 T. flaxseed
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 3 T. lime juice
  • 2 bananas
  • 3/4 C. frozen blueberries
  • 1 1/2 C. vanilla soymilk**(see nutritional note)
  • 1/2 C. orange juice
  • 2 scoops of protein powder (optional)
Instructions: 
  1. Grind flax seed in blender.
  2. Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into glasses and serve.
  4. Please note protein powder is not included in the calorie/nutritional information because it is optional.
