Join 8th Continent Soymilk at the 33rd Celebration of the Lotus Festival Sponsored by L.A. Lotus Festival, Inc. and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. The festival will feature live music, dance and entertainment from a variety of performers representing many of the diverse countries of Asia and the Pacific Islands. This year, the Festival will highlight the people and cultures of Thailand. Munchathon, the first-ever food-themed fun run and obstacle course encourages you to run, walk, skip and munch your way through the scenic course overlooking Irvine Lake. Besides encountering obstacles, you will have several stops where you can try sample-size food items from gourmet food trucks and local vendors. 8th Continent Soymilk will be a beverage stops along the course. Get a team together or go solo, dress up as bananas or hot dogs or piggies—whatever gets you pumped—and bring your appetite. After the run, 8th Continent Soymilk will also participate in the festival of gourmet food trucks, beverages, entertainment, vendors and lots more.
The Irvine Lake Mud Run is an approximate +5k course beginning and ending at picturesque Irvine Lake. The course is partially on the road and partially on trails and includes hills, water (no contact with lake anywhere), professionally built obstacles and eight+ mud pits! You will get wet and you will get muddy. Be sure to bring towels and a change of clothing. For the past 36 years, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced Fiesta Hermosa, the ”largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California”. Over 270 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handicrafters. The festival takes place every Labor Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in downtown Hermosa Beach, California. With the ocean as a backdrop, Hermosa Beach is an ideal place for a summer festival with temperatures of 80 degrees and balmy sea breezes.
